Pillar pods

Does anyone make pillar (A, B, C) speaker pods that fit to the stock fitments?

Pillar Pods not recomended

Although it has been done with guages it is not recomended. This is because of the head curtain air bags that reside there. In the event of an accident the trim pieces will become projectiles

. Not good!

If I'm not mistaken this is not possible because of the airbags in the pillar.

That's what I've heard, but there are a couple people with gauge pods on their pillars

The air bag is not actually in the pillar....but the pillar does pop off when the airbag in the headliner goes off...those with pillar pods are just risking it i suppose, or have their airbags removed/disable for race purposes maybe
