Radio swap out

I have a 2007 R56 with radio and CD player that the screen doesn't work on. I purchased the same type radio from another 2007 R56 to swap out with. Other than just swapping the radios is there anything else I will need to do?

According to the instructions here:
https://www.newtis.info/tisv2/a/en/r...d-dvd-changer/

programming/coding is required. But maybe someone who has actually done this has a workaround (I would doubt there is one, though). Also: there is quite some information about it here on the forum. A quick search should yield threads documenting such a replacement.

it should be plug and play.

programming and coding is step needed only if you want to mach the VIN. other than that, there is no downside.
