ViseeO/Tune2Air issue - right speaker distorted

Just received and tried using the ViseeO/Tune2Air Bluetooth adaptor. I'm using a Google Pixel and connecting to my 2011 R57.

The right speaker sound is completely distorted. The left sounds fine. From the customer comments on Amazon, this seems like a common issue.

Has anyone had this issue, and were you able to fix it? I reached out to ViseeO customer service and to be honest they were pretty much worthless.

I'm planning on returning the device but am holding onto hope that I can get it to work.

Thanks!

The reviews do show it's probably not an issue with your car but the device itself. In my last MINI I used a bluetooth to Aux-in device like this:
Amazon Amazon

Much cheaper and no issues with sound quality. The only problem is that you can't go next/back using the steering wheel controls, but I didn't find it too inconvenient to use the device controller/my phone.
