XM in MCSC question

I have what is probably a pretty stupid question. (The most complicated thing I have ever done to a car is to install the European parcel shelf in my old MCS.) I got the hardware to install XM direct, including the Blitzsafe adaptor. Installation seemed to be idiot-proof, so I decided to give it a try. But I couldn't even figure out how to get access to the connections in the side of the boot. It turns out that getting in there is very different in my '05 MCS convertible than in my former '03 MCS. There is no access panel on the passenger side. There is one Phillips screw, but loosening it doesn't seem to reease the boot lining so that it comes out easily. I don't want to just go yanking at the boot lining for fear of damaging something. Any advice appreciated.

Did you get access to the connections? How did you do it? I've looked high and low for the wires and I don't want to go yanking at the boot liner either . . .
