Navigation & Audio Control when stereo shuts off?

Control when stereo shuts off?
I have 2 '17 hardtops, and I can't figure out how to control when the stereo shuts off in either car. Sometimes it powers off when I kill the engine. Other times it shuts down when I open the door. I swear today it stayed on until I locked the car. This is all under the same profile. I don't get it.
