Keeping factory computer with new head unit?

I'm considering upgrading to a double din head unit, but am confused on if I will be able to keep the factory radio in the speedo for the computer. How else can you change the clock or measurement units?

I swapped mine out recently & can't find ANYWHERE in the steering wheel gauge pod to change the clock....but don't really care as my aftermarket radio has a clock on it LOL

i think some of the "measurements" can be changed in the steering wheel gauge menu thru the button on the end of the blinker stalk
