So we just bought my wife a '05 Cooper S JCW that has the HK system with Navigation. We have the subwoofer, box and amp that I pulled from our '04 MCS that got totaled last summer but the HK system is a lot different than our last one. So I my goal is to add the subwoofer and also steam music from our phones via bluetooth.

So here is what I've come up with:

Option 1 is get the HK enabler (is there anyone who sells them in the US?) then I can just get an aftermarket head unit with bluetood and dedicated Subwoofer RCA line outs in the back.

Option 2 is get the Grom bluetooth kit and install it in the truck where the CD changer would be. Then I would have to figure out where to tap into to get a good signal for the subwoofer. (I did this in my BMW e92 with the Logic 7 system so I'm no stranger to the concept, I just need to know where I should pull the signal from and if it's even a good idea.)

So question 1 is does anyone sell the HK enabler in the states?

Question 2 is where would I tape in for a signal for the subwoofer if I don't get a aftermarket head unit?

Oh and I've spent the last 3 hours searching these forums with a lot of dead links to diagrams and 404 error codes so please don't just answer telling me to search. I did.

 

Alright well I got the HK enabler with the steering wheel adapter kit and also a pioneer head until. As soon as everything is here, I will wire it all up.
