I'm upgrading the stereo in my '07 MCS. Can anyone tell me if they see any complications with the following list of items? I don't want to start buying things only to end up missing something, or wind up with wrong/incompatible parts.

1. Pioneer DEH-X9600BHS stereo
2. Pioneer GM-D1004 power-pack amplifier
3. Axxess BMRC-01 wiring harness w/chime retention
4. Axxess ASWC-1 steering wheel control adapter
5. Metra 99-9309 Dash Kit

Wiring-wise, I get the impression it will (loosely) look like this: 1 to 2 via RCA then 3 & 4 to Factory harness.

I have a fully aftermarket setup and have heard from numerous people that the mini needs to have the factory radio installed somewhere in the car in order to receive updates for the electronics in the mini. I personally haven't had an issue, I have read that a lot of people did not do this and do not have issues. However, I am going to have a shop install the factory radio in a hidden spot so I have peace of mind. There is also a thread regarding how to install the factory radio along with an aftermarket radio.
