Inputs Wanted/Needed

Ok ... I posted my original question in the electrical forum but it seems that place doesn't get much attention so I'm re-asking here in hopes of a quicker answer.

I've installed this: https://www.outmotoring.com/gen-1-mi...in-module.html

I had to wait for the correct (no CD changer) harness to get here, which it did today. I've got everything connected properly, read, & re-read the install instructions several times. My phone will connect to the bluetooth module with no problems but fails to play anything (music, calls, etc) over the radio.

So my question: Do I need to go to Mini and get my factory headunit programmed to enable the CD changer feature? In the manual(s) it says to switch to the CD changer input/mode, which I do not have (currently). I've been lead to believe (through several threads about adding a CD changer to the factory set-up) that it is possible to have Mini enable this feature ... is this true?

Once you plug in a device to the ibus that pretends to be a CDC, the CDC option will be available from the radio by pressing MODE to cycle through the inputs. Programming of the radio I shouldn't be required.

In the images shown there is a 3 pin connector that contains unswitched power, GND and ibus. The module then must be using the ibus for the power up and power down messages. The ibus should be idle at 12V when active.

I cycled through the inputs several times with no CDC option becoming available. I plugged connector in along with connecting the wires to the appropriate wires on the radio harness. Should have I left the connector unplugged? If that's all I have to do then I can do that before work in the morning, haha.

Does the GROM support interraction with any other modules on the iBus, for example are you able to advance tracks on an iPod with the steering wheel or power up the GROM after 16 ibus idle minutes using only the vehicle keys? Note opening any door or the boot will wake the ibus.

I'm not sure since I can't switch to an input that allows for playback from anything other than Sirus, AM, & FM. I don't have a non-lightning cable iDevice so (according to the Grom site), I wouldn't be able to utilize that feature anyways. I'll attempt plugging my iPhone into the USB extension in a few minutes and see what happens.

Ok ... I figured out most of the problem. I had the connector one set of pins over from where it belonged. Now I just need to figure out how to switch modes on the unit itself and I'll be in business. Anyone have a GROM Audio unit and know how to change modes to allow for BT use?

And I've figured the rest of the issue ... I had left the satellite radio harness plugged in. I thought I had removed it, but I guess that's what I get for doing the install and troubleshooting yesterday/this morning while being exhausted.
