Navigation Commands???

So, I've had my F56S for a few weeks now. It has the Fully Loaded package with Navigation, Enhanced Bluetooth and the large screen. When it works, it is perfect. My challenge is that I'm struggling with the voice commands.

I'm coming from a background of using my Android phone where I can simply say "navigate to disney in Orlando Florida" and 90+% of the time, it gets the right destination and starts mapping.

So far, I haven't figured out a way to get the MINI navigation to work the same way (is it possible?). It only seems to accept street addresses which I seldom have. When I do try to voice navigate with the address, I still don't seem to be saying things in a way the systems recognizes. (i.e. I say Navigation, start saying something else and the next thing I know it's pulling numbers from my contacts list.....)

So... any tips on the best way to use voice navigation? Is it possible to navigate to destination name versus street address?

Thanks!

I've been trying also how to SAVE address in the navigation system. Surely there is a way to save some somewhere.

The top of the screen gives you cues on the voice entries it expects... I can't recall now exactly what they are, but they are right along the top of the screen.

I have found more good information about NAV & other information about all the feature not from Mini but goggling BMW iDrive for '14 models.

This is not sounding real promising... I'm going back to the dealer tomorrow so we'll see if they have any ideas.

If you find an address you want and start navigation even if you are not going there, then stop navigation, it will automatically save in on previous destinations.

I wish the Nav system had some voice options like my old Garmin. The Mini really needs a British accent. Amanda Pays would be nice. 😊
