Best Fuse Slot for Sat. Radio

I am looking for a power source for my after market satellite radio. I have a fuse circuit tap and looking for the best fuse slot to tap into. Currently I am tapped into the 15A radio but I noticed the sat. radio does not cut off when I cut the car off. I realize this is because the Mini allows you to cut the radio on with out cutting the car on or turning the key to accessories. I know if the radio is left on with the key turned to off, the radio will turn off after a certain amount of time.

My question is, will the Mini kill power to the sat. radio too after a certain amount of time, since it is taps into the same fuse slot?

I have a similar question for my '12 cooper but it would help if you posted the year of your mini so you will get accurate answers.

are you wanting it to turn off and on with the car, or with the radio? Or are you wanting to be able to turn it on whenever you want?

It's currently wired with the radio. Which is fine, but if I leave the sat. radio on will the car cut if off after awhile or will it run my battery dead?
