Help Please. Speakers and Amp for 2013 Cooper S.

Hi everyone.

I am hoping someone can help. I have spend a lot time in the past two weeks trying to understand how I can upgrade my 2013 Cooper S sound system. While I have learned a lot in the past couple of weeks, I honestly feel more confused than ever.

I spend a lot of time in my car my last MINI had the HK system--which was just ok. My current MINI has the stock sound system with MINI Connected. I would love to take my car to a car audio install shop where they can put together a speaker/amp package and install everything as I am not mechanical in any way.

What I would like to do is have the separate tweeters installed, replace the current stock speakers (front/back), and install a good amp. A system that won't break my MINI Connected functions and provides a rich sound spectrum. (For around $1000)

Is this an ok plan?

Thanks for any help

Hmm, I am sorry, is this forum only for discussing the Integral Audio upgrade?

No, you posted a legitimate question. You will see a lot of posts about Integral Audio as a lot of members really like their product.

I bought this.
Full MINI warranty, so if the amp blows, MINI pays for the parts and labor!
No cutting, just add you own A-Pillars with tweeter pods.

Aslo swapped my rear speakers with a set of retail Alpine coaxials.

I just can't seem to get my head around understanding car audio. And I don't have the money to spend on the integral audio system.

Can I just upgrade speakers and amp without affecting the MINI Connected? Or is it more complicated than that?

But all the reviews, even here, on the Alpines are negative.

You set a $1000 budget.
For the budget, its a decent upgrade.
The install cost would not be too much as its plug and play.
The Alpine upgrade reviews are not bad.

Raise your budget, and get an Integral Audio system.
