H/K enabler install with aftermarket stereo..still no sound

After months of purchasing a sub and aftermarket stereo, and waiting for the H/K enabler to arrive, today I decided to do the install, but came to a stop because there is no sound coming through the speakers..I've done all the search I can and still to no luck of receiving sounds. Decided to re install the stock head unit and to my surprise, it works fine. Then decide to install the aftermarket unit and still no luck..The aftermarket unit is a Kenwood KDC-HD458U unit and the H/K amp is not dead..

The install was straight forward..the H/K enabler was plug and play, other then I rewire my stereo harness to the enabler because I didn't have the harness adapter that you can purchase from crutchfield. I had to cut the clips off and matched up colors because I was thinking it should have came that way for easy connection rather then have to purchase another harness for it and snap them together..One of the wires from the stereo was not connected because I thought it didn't need to be connected because it said "P Cont."...after testing different blue wires and connected the "P cont." from my stereo harness, sound finally came through...sound quality is better then the stock head unit and bass seem to be louder and I had to adjust the bass to negatives...fyi..manufactures of stereos used different wires different things..and also I finally connected my sub and it works fine too, other then the amp couldn't really push the sub..in all the H/K enabler works fine..

And, for those who has the H/K enabler..how do you turn down the bass for the stock speakers...i've tried everything from turning down the bass on the head unit to negative and still my bass is louder then the music coming out..and experiences with this or I'm the only one..can't even hear my sub
