Parrot & MFSW

Right I've done a quick search and not found the specific answer I'm looking for so hoping you knowledgeable lot can help;

I've been offered a Parrot MKi9000 Kit, but before buying wanted to know a couple of things......

1) I have the MFSW so want the intergration as well. Does this mean I just have to purchase the MFSW adaptor from NewMINIStuff or is there anything additional that he provides in the Parrot Kit in order to get the full intergration that aquiring the kit elsewhere doesn't?

2) Where is the connection to allow you to connect your iPhone/USB device to the kit, is it on the controller or......? And how good is the intergration, I would be ideally be mounting an Iphone 5 with the no holes mount by the storage compartment attached to a Brodit cradle with charging access hole so just wondering how it would connect to the Parrot kit from there?

3) I would also like to know and if possible see pictures of where people have previosuly hid their wires when using the mount near steering wheel and also the glove box mount. I don't want to take the dash apart (as dash's never seem to go back properly with me!!) but do want to make it as seamless as I can with a bit of ease.

Many Thanks in advance
Nik

The best answer I have is get in touch with Mikey @ Newministuff. He can answer all your questions.

I had a different version of the Parrot unit and it worked fine with my Iphone for calls. (mine didn't do streaming music).

So mine needed no physical connections from the phone to the radio. It used Bluetooth. I bought a custom cable from Newministuff that was plug and play. No wiring to figure out. You plug it in and press the call button on your MFSW and siri wakes up and you hear her voice thru the stereo.

I did mine in a Gen 1 R50. Its pretty easy to pull the stereo head unit and plug this in. I tucked the Parrot unit behind radio in the dash.

On a gen 2 R56 it isn't as easy to work on since the radio unit is in the speedo and you have to pull a lot of the dash apart to get to the back of the unit to wire it up.

Brill thanks for the advice, I'll get in touch with Mikey after purchasing the kit and see what he says, not looking foward to taking the dash apart though, but you don't get much out of an easy job!!!!
