2012 MCS and iPod Nano 7th Generation

I have seen a few posts on using the new Y cable with iPhones but nothing about other lightning devices. Does anyone have info on the Y-Cable used with a 7th Gen iPod Nano and a 2012 MCS? will the music stream and the track names appear on the radio? I don't have Mini Connected.

I have a 2012 factory JCW with mini connected and an iPod Nano 7th Gen. I am also looking for an answer for this.

Right now I just use the iPod cable (lighting to usb) and a male to male 3.5mm aux cable. Although after a while the system starts to whine, could be my aux cable, to the point where I can't listen to it. I am able to browse the ipod and it shows the album cover and track names.
