New JCW Coupe, iffy bass speaker. Phoenix

New with HK upgrade. Some songs it sounds like the front left bass speaker (the lower one right?) buzzes. Other songs it's OK. I was wondering if I should make appt with dealer about it (100 miles away). I'm halfway leaning on replacing all the speakers with upgrades somewhere but have no idea where in Phoenix to go. Anyone have a referral.

I remember reading on the forums here that adjusting the bass down on the R58 and treble up with HK ( Harman / Kardon ) improves the sound. Like there is too much bass for such a small section with 10 speakers.

I have tried this and it seemed to work. on the R58 & R59. Also the speed volume level does help when adjusted.

Check out #15 speak cover and the clips behind the door. #4 & #5.

There is a foam gasket in addition they used to put on these for buzzing at one time, don't know if it was a bulletin. . Otherwise people replace them from door card removal and then break the clips, that's what usually cause the buzzing.

Thanks

I'd have the dealer get it working correctly first.
Did you check eq.? Perhaps lot jockey cranked the bass.
These sound good with bass reduced.
CDs that are mixed well sound good. If it's a CD version of a mid '70s record it may be weak.
Full Wav files can sound quite good. Mp3s more of a crap shoot from okay to poor.

Move balance left and right to discern if it's buzzing. See if a local audio shop can be honest without trying to sell you something.

Thanks, I'll mess with the Bass/Treble (it wasn't up high), and I'll mess with the EQ setting on my iPod (it does affect the sound even using a dock connector in the bottom of the iPod). I realize some MP3s bass may be messed up. The album that I note it on is the new Coldplay which I bought on iTunes, which I think is AAC 256. I'll mess around with it more. What I notice is too much treble to be honest. My hearing aids do good treble so I turned that down a little. I'll try turning both down an turning up the volume.

You are under warranty, take it to the dealer first. 100 miles away; are you in Flagstaff or Tucson? In Phoenix, two dealers. One in north Scottsdale, the other in Mesa..

I changed my EQ on the Pod from Dance to off, and turned both the bass and treble a couple ticks below the middle. I think that may have done the trick. The song Magic by Coldplay was a buzzer and it's not now.
