Navigation & Audio Phat Box?

Phat Box?
Has anyone installed a system similar to the VW Phat Box available in the Toureg? This has an MP3 player head unit, with a big hard drive (probably where the cd changer would go) to hold massive amounts of tunes. I notice that the 2005 head unit will read MP3 disks as well as audio CD's, so that head unit will probably have external data input. Any specs yet? I have a CD changer in my current car, but it seems kind of old-tech having a big box that only holds less songs than a miniscule iPod or even my Muvo2.

I get the track/album/artist displays which is nice.
You can run the Phatbox into the stock MINI head unit with an interface they sell - it behaves a little like a many disc CD changer but you don't get displays (instead, the Phatbox can announce artist/album). Seems expensive these days, compared to an iPod and interface ...

I have a 60GB Phatbox in my MCS. It's MINI-compatible. I have the HK stereo. I bought the phatbox from www.phatbox.com and the cd-changer bracket from my MINI dealer. It took all of about 20 minutes to install in the boot. Works like a charm, extremely highly recommended.

Bavarian Autosport has some good prices on the Phat Box in their most recent catalog. www.bavarianautosport.com

I think you can get the same prices from www.phatnoise.com. Also, they just released an 80GB version.
