Converting to Shark Fin antenna

After upgrading to Kenwood stereo w/GPS, I'm thinking about using the OEM shark fin GPS antenna for the Kemwood Nav. I really like the looks of the shark fin! As for the radio signals, a windshield mount booster antenna (Metra 44-UA200) will be mounted in the rear window. Has anyone done this?
