Positivly get it! We took a trip from Indy to D.C. , no need for maps, took us directly to all the sites, chose restaraunts, malls etc.... Tells you every turn and corrects itself if you miss the turn. WOrks great with the stereo as well.

The instructions are confusing at first, but you will get the hang of it.

Scott -- it's simple to get it to forget the last destination. Press the center button to select new destination. Then scroll to the top COUNTRY and select it. Just select US with no city and the white track will clear with the next screen update.

Since the topic came up, my '02 also has the CD version and my freebie update arrived several months ago.

BTW -- to answer another commonly asked question on the older CD version: The CDs can be duped on your computer. Simply treat the disks as a data disk. You will find that Windoze is quite happy with all the directory and file structure. However, I don't know of anybody who has broken the coding of the data within the files.

Regards -- Tom

Wanted

I received my updated 2004 NE edition on the 12th month of the MINI. Anyone interested in trading a 2003 version of the New England area for a 2003 New York area. I really don't care if its outdate by 20%.

Do you have a region 5 disk or a region 6 disk? Both have part of New York on them...

Region 6 covers Virginia to Maine. Region 5 covers Western NY state Western PA, WV, OH, KY, 90% of TN, IN, the Lower Penninsula of MI, and parts of IL and WI

You shouldn't have to do this everytime. I find that once she tells me "You have arrived", it then clears the directions and then just goes into Map mode. If for some reason the actual destination is off from what the computer thinks the actual destination is, and you don't get the "You have arrived" then i have to manually set it back to Map mode, which is where i keep it.
