Navigation & Audio Bazooka tube
Try reversing the swap and let us know. Replacing the rear speakers for increased highs seems counter-intuitive to me, if that is what you want to try. I like my music to sound as coming from in front of me rather than behind. And the rear speakers seem a teeny bit harder to change out than the fronts in terms of access. But I'm lazy.
Edit: also, what is your Xover freq for the sub? You can try turning it to a lower frequency so that the midbass isn't so loud as this makes your mids/highs sound lacking (it's all relative, remember, so less bass=more highs). Compounding this its the fact that the headunit artificially boosts the midbass to trick your ears into thinking the stock system has bass response which it doesn't (HK system a little better since the rears aren't notch filtered).

Especially since he's missing the extra tweeters the HK system provides. I like my treble 'mellow' so only having midranges in the front actually suits me. I turned down the treble in my scion tC a notch or two since it had the high door mounted tweeters standard. And now I realize how good that factory system actually was (I did have the OEM bazooka sub).

As for the crossover.. there is none.. lol.. Its just that Bazooka deal wired into the high level signals from the head unit..
This is all good food for thought,,, and now that its finally spring.. I might play around with it more.. Anyone know the specs on the front speakers for good drop-ins?
Agreed... however.. I'm tall.. and in the Clubman, the rear speakers.. are very close to the front seats.. I'm not sure how they are on the other models.. but I feel like I hear them more than I should... but they take care of some mid range so I don't fade them too far out..

Are you basically siting in the back seat? lol

Fronts are 6.5 and 4 inch, however the stock door locations are pretty bad when it comes to high frequencies. There are kits to add a tweeter to the A pillars, if you want to go that route. Since if you add a 1" tweeter to the top door location it plays to your knees and isn't the most effective, but a little better than stock.
Well, I'm 6'3. I realized driving into work the passenger rear speaker is pretty much pointed at my head when I have the passenger seat moved up (I drop my son off at school..)..
And find the car comfy, only occasionally hitting
My head getting in. And the 8" bazooka fits
Behind my seat , doubt that would work for you.
Nah, I have the Clubman, so it fits in the boot area nicely... lengthwise.. facing the rear.
