Tasker Question and MiNi Bluetooth

I have a Tasker profile on my android phone (Galaxy S3) that runs when Bluetooth connects. I would like it to specifically recognize just the MiNi Bluetooth, and I also noticed on initial pairing that the MiNi's MAC address for the bluetooth flashed up. Unfortunately I cannot find that address anywhere. Does anyone know how to find the MAC address of the MiNi's bluetooth?

Just to clarify, you are looking to change the Bluetooth name of your MINI, which currently shows up as "MINI#####" on your phone?

No - I can do that. I am looking for the MAC address of the bluetooth radio. When I connect to bluetooth, I can set Tasker to do a series of actions when connecting to a specific MAC address. When I initially paired with the MiNi on the Android's BT, the MAC flashed up momentarily on the Android device before changing to MINI79590 (or something like that).

There are a couple of apps on the play store that will do this, such as bt mac finder. Also in my Tasker if I'm addiing a state Bluetooth Connected, if I hit the magnifying glass next to the Name, it shows all the BT devices I've ever connected to. This should negate the need to enter the MAC manually.

Also, I used an app called NFC task launcher for a while (you can use BT instead of NFC) to do a bunch of stuff once my phone was paired to the cars BT.

Dr BF:

You were correct on both counts. I had actually downloaded a MAC Address sniffer and was about to go out and... well ... sniff. That's when I saw this reply and the suggestion to select the magnifying glass and that did it beautifully. Thanks!

Cool. Glad you got it working. Tasker and Waze (for finding speed traps) are my best friends in the car.
