2007 bluetooth/audio Software Update

I would like to update the entertainment system software. Is it an owner updateable system?
Thanks very much

No, it is a dealer-style only update.

However, you *can* do it yourself. I did my car using a Mongoose J2534 tool and BMW's MINItechinfo.com (remote access to ISTA/P which is EXACTLY the same software system the dealer uses) to fully update every module on my car.

Most dealers will not upgrade the car unless specifically told to by BMW. You can only upgrade the DME (engine computer) 10 times. It is a many, many, many hour process with the J2534 and it is a many hour process with the fiber optic ICOM adapter the dealer uses.

Thanks for your help. I believe my friend is going ti have the dealer check for updates the next time she's scheduled for service. Her new phone won't pair with the blutooth
