Iphone pause - fix

Hey everyone

I noticed a bunch of posts a while back where people were asking how to pause an iPhone's music with the stock non-connect stereo.

Previously when you tried to open the music app you would get a screen saying the device was connected, and no control over the player. Looks like iOS 6.1 fixed this. We found it by accident on a road trip yesterday

Obviously only do this if it doesn't distract your driving, it's legal to use a device while driving, YMMV, blah blah blah

Pause from the radio or just the phone ?

Can you clarify whether there is a way to un-pause from the boost stereo itself or is it just the ability now for the iPhone to allow control of the stereo instead of getting the previous white screen that allows no control.
This is very cool by the way.

On a related note, I noticed that my iPhone 5 in the 2012 Mini Cooper S keeps at least a stable battery level when I am using a GPS app with 6.1 as compared to the previous 6.0.1 where it would constantly be going down in battery level very quickly.
It is behaving the same way in my Porsche 911 with Dension 500 MOST adapter which thrills me too because the Porsche controls suck so controlling the music from the phone is AWESOME !

Thank goodness for this update.

From what I can tell, it's just from the phone - no button on the stereo itself - you no longer get the white screen saying it's connected. Which is odd, since with my Kenwood in my Jeep, it worked this way with 6.01 as well - you could toggle it on and off.

Too bad the voice activation button on the steering wheel couldn't be re purposed for this since they disabled it....
