I have a 2013 MCS with Navigation and mini connect (?). I would love to keep my iPod Classic hooked up all the time, but I use my iPhone for the main connecton port.

Is there another place I can hook it up? Like maybe an aux input port? Or even a kit to put in the glove box?

 

I can't vouch for how they work, but I saw someone in another thread mention Bluetooth adapters. Google for "ipod bluetooth adapter" and you'll find some options. Amazon had them for around $50. I'm very curious to try them, since my iPod classic and the y-adapter don't seem to get along.

EDIT: If you do spring for one, make sure it says it's a transmitter, not a receiver. They sell both - transmitters are for iPods, receivers are for things like docks.

I bought the iPhone cradle so I could hook the classic up at the y connect. I dont really like it, seems like a hastle to remove phone from case, install in cradle, etc. But it is working for now. I need the classic for all my audiobooks. Dont use it often, but need it for road trips.
