Upgrade OEM mini connect to OEM NAV

On a 2013 jcw hardtop

Ordered with mini connect

Can the Oem nav be added / upgraded since the car already came with mini connect and video boost?

Is itas simple as putting in the nav unit + code.

Thx

My understanding is this ... (based on what my MA said, and what I did when I took delivery of the car).

My MA was under the impression that all Connect systems had the NAV hooked up and ready to go. I took delivery of my car late one eve, and they were in a hurry (well mainly me) and so she handed me a computer print out. She navigated to a screen that I have NEVER SEEN AGAIN. On the paper was a 20+ digit code and I was told to use the joystick and enter the code.

Once I did it, it said "Validating" and then the NAV icon was on the mini connect screen.

I suspect that all cars have it that have connect and what you are really paying for is the licence for it. It would be cheaper to install the same thing in all cars with connect vs develop 2 diff systems.

Wonder if you can find the screen on those that do not have nav that say to enter the code...

Thank you
thank you

i suspected that since it would be cost prohibitive to run three systems as options.
