Navigation/Speedometer Install Post-Purchase

I realize this is a little more involved than a typical double-din, but I was just wondering if the dealer could install the unit post-purchase? From a technical standpoint, I don't see why not, swapping in a new speedo/nav unit, I believe it's the same size, but I'm very new to Minis.

Thanks

You probably want to have the navigation as well right? I mean there is no point in having a speedo with an empty hole in the middle...

So yes, it is possible, but too expensive to make sense.
Speedo ca.400$
Navigation screen ca.1100$
Navigation computer 500$

+ a lot o other parts including a the dash and central console to put the iDrive controller.

Add to that the installation costs and you would be somewhere around 2500-3000$

I have been offered the Navigation system out of an accident damaged MCS, which I would like to install in my 2007 MCS which obviously only has the standard speedo.

Has anyone done this? If so what parts would I need? and how complicated would it be? I am an engineer with many years experience playing with cars so stripping it and rebuilding may not be a complication, but do not want to start the job if there is a high chance of damaging the MINI. Also I assume that if I was to get it installed I would need MINI to do a recode to get it working, any idea how much they would charge? I know it will be different here in Australia, but it would give me an idea.

Thanks Rob
