Navigation & Audio lower driver's side speaker grill
I'm curious about this too. My knee went through mine (getting out of the car). At some point I'll need to replace it and then put some sort of stone guard over it because I keep hitting it with my knee.
First caveat - if the second gen door is the same as the first gen door. If not, disregard the below.
Not a *big* problem, but not a simple R&R either. The grills are attached with 'plastic rivets' thus the old grill must be removed by either melting or grinding off the plastic rivets, and the replacement grill attached by either re-melting the rivets, or with a glue gun or similar.

R56 speaker replacement how-to has all the details on how to perform this job. It's one of the stickys at the top of the forum.
I thought I read somewhere about the molded in grills. The dumb grills are about $30 each, so I'm not real excited about doing this and have the grill beat up again. I may look into just covering it with something, or ignoring it.
