Tried searching for links to get the nav software update and all are too old and dead. OctaneGuy's most excellent thread is now 7 years old.

I purchased the 2012 US maps and thought it came with a new version but did not. I have a 2005 MCS with version SW 4-1/30 (which I think is V30) and the maps require V31 or V32. This SW designation is a bit confusing because I have read that SW 4-1/91 is the newest version.

The often mention X5 link http://x5world.net/nav_os.htm has only ads, couldn't get through them.

Anyone who can help?

hmm. Not sure. Haven't come across anything from my quick search. Have you asked your nearest dealer for a price on updating to the most current software version? I worked at an Audi dealer that would update SW for a minimal fee for customers who bought the Navi disks at our dealer.

Might be your only option.

 

I live in Palisade, CO and all the dealers are on the other side of the continental divide (Denver area, 250 miles ea way). Nice drive in the Cooper but no guarantee I could get in for service once there. Called them once already about the ECU flash upgrade for the MCS manual trans and they were clueless.

My Cooper came from Vegas so may have to drive out there to find qualified personel (800 miles 1 way). I love living out here but services are lacking.
