New Roadster, Mini Connected Video not Working

Just picked up a Mini Cooper S Roadster yesterday with the Tech Package, Mini connected w/out Nav. My wife and I both have iPhone 4s but we cannot get any video to show at all on the display. We have the latest Y cable that came with the car. Could the cable be defective? There is not any setting on the iPhone that should be required. We hear the audio and the screen goes blank. Any help will be appreciated. BTW, the Roadster is a blast to drive and we keep getting so many thumbs up from other Mini drivers.

The 2012 I picked up on monday had the wrong cable with it, my MA swapped it with the correct one for me. I found out because it would only connect with audio, no video, no Connected, and no album art.

Are you in neutral with the parking brake engaged?

Video only plays when the vehicle is parked. It will not show a video while moving.

Yes, I believe I have the correct cable. I checked the p/n as stated on this forum. Also, the car is in neutral with the parking brake engaged. I think the cable may be defective.

+1 also....

Tried it on another car at MINI dealer with same result, Y cable is correct and shows album art from I-Pod, audio from video made with I phone...my car would show 2 seconds of thin video then goes to blank screen, test car would not do that.
I don't think MINI app is involved but we downloaded MINI app from I tunes and same problem exists. Still looking into problem, I haven't decided if operator error is involved yet.

2012 MCS w/MINI Connect and Nav

On another thread one of the posters suggested turning phone off than on again just before watching, sort of reboot iPhone, it worked for me pain in the butt but it works with mine.
