2003 Cooper S, HK Stereo, AUX Installed - SIRIUS Radio
I have a Cooper S with the HK stero and the dealer installed AUX input. I tried to get Sirius radio using the Kenwood Sirius unit using the Soundgate KBMWSIRV2 interface unit. Installer could get the unit to seek to the preview station but perform no other function.
Soundgate suggests it is because the AUX unit is installed and suggests disconnecting the AUX input. Has anyone experienced this? $800 for factory Sirius is way out of range!

I have the factory installed Sirius and HK. The Sirius works fine.
I also have the AUX input jack in place. Before the factory Sirius I ran my
Kenwood H2A thru the AUX with no problems.
If all you're getting is the preview channel, your service did not get connected to your receiver. The fact you can pick up the preview channel lets you know your connections are working.
