I have a 2009 factory JCW. Brought it in for the recall today. Got car back and while driving home, the stereo stopped, the NAV screen shut down. After about 30 seconds, the sytem appeared to re-boot: the MINI screen came on, followed by the NAV screen, and then the strereo started up again.

I've had the car nearly four years, and never experienced a re-boot like this while driving.

Anyone else seen this behavior? It's working fine now - so, won't be bringing it back to dealer unless it does it again.

This happened to to also. I have a 2011 Clubman. It happened twice: once at about 6-months. The screen went red and it did reboot in about 30-seconds. I planned to take it in if it repeated. This week it did the same thing.
My car is due for its first annual maintenance call in a few weeks. I'll report it then and see what the dealer says.
