Hey Guys!

I'm in need of your expertise. I was given a used Parrot mki9200 system and decided that I would try and do the install myself to save some cash. I'm not very proficient in car stereos or car electronics but I can follow instructions. So I went to a local retailer where I've had previous stereos installed and had them order me a plug/play harness(HF-BMW-FP-AMK).

Everything seemed very straight forward - plugged everything in and I am now stuck. The harness has a single red wire which must be connected to a "12 volt ignition source". I have no idea how or where to connect this.

So if you guys could help out someone who's probably in over their head it would be appreciated.

Well after a few hours searching and several posts later I think I've read all there is on installing a 12 volt power source. So first thing tomorrow morning it's off to Radio Shack to pick up some supplies so I can tap into the cigarette lighter.

I'll post how everything turns out for those interested.
