Navigation & Audio CD Changer cables in Canadian Cooper?
Hello,
I have just purchased a 2002 Cooper from Canada and was wondering if they have the CD changer wires in the back. I have an XM radio and iPod that I would like to install.
I have studied the pictures of the many instalations that people have done and I can't seem to find those wires at all? Is it possible that the Canadian cars don't have them? Can I add this easily? I foolishly purchased the BlitzSafe adaptor before getting the car...
Slightly OT, but has anyone purchased an aftermarket HU that is XM ready and then used it with the Delfi SkiFi receiver with it? If this does not work, I still don't want to pay for two tuner subscriptions!
Many Thanks,
Doug

It's a little hard to find the wires.
The CD wires in my car were taped to another wire bundle. That bundle was accessible through the access door on the side of the boot.
Once I untaped the wires, I had to pass the connectors under the plastic piece so the connectors would come out under the CD changer.
If you buy the MINI CD changer there are pretty good instructions on how to locate the wires and what you need to do to get them correctly positioned to plug into the bottom of the CD Changer.

In the right side boot cubby. There will be two wires with connectors taped to the big wire bundle. They may be on the side of the bundle and not obvious. But it is possible that the canadian release cars did not come with the CD prep. All the US cars in 2002 did.
