Will a CD changer from a 2003 work in a prewired 2009?

Are the connections the same ,behind the right rear panel?

No. 1st and 2nd gen audio systems are completely different. 1st gen CD Changer would be controlled from the headunit over a CAN data bus, 2nd gen uses a MOST data bus.

CD Changer in Gen 2 - In the secret compartment of the dash

well I won't bother removing the old one, I guess I'll have to look for the new type. Thanks for the help
