Anyone have a 02-06 MINI w/ OEM ipod adapter & iPhone 4S?

Been looking for someone with a 2002 - 2006 MINI with the MINI OEM ipod adapter and who also got an iphone 4S to see if Siri will let you access a specific song in your itunes library while connected to the ipod adapter. Currently on my iphone 4, the voice activation will not let me play a specific song directly without being in one of the 6 predefined MINI playlists, nor can I access the ipod app directly since the ipod adapter basically locks out access due to safety reasons, etc.

I have managed to jailbreak my iphone 4 to circumvent the issue on my iphone 4, but when moving to the iphone 4S, where no jailbreak exists (yet), I am wondering if I will be able to access my music library directly, rather than having to depend on the stupid 6 playlists (MINI1, MINI2, MINI3, MINI4, MINI5, MINI6) that the ipod adapter requires.

Any assistance would be appreciated.

Confused about your statements. You say what you currently can't do, but which issue did you circumvent?

As you know, the OEM iPod adapter is very primitive. To enable the full functionality of your phone, why not skip the adapter and just use an aux input?

When you plug in the iPhone 4 into the OEM ipod adapter, the phone locks you out of the ipod controls and displays the Accessory Splash Screen instead of the ipod controls. By jailbreaking the iphone 4 and installing the tweak "NoAccessorySplash", it circumvents the lock-out.

Since no Jailbreak exists yet for the new iphone 4S that came out yesterday, my concern is that if it does lock me out, I will not have a way around it. Before I buy the 4S, I was just wondering if anyone had one and could plug it in and check.

As for the aux input, that would be a pain and not as clean of a setup as I have now with the ProClip iphone mount. Basically my mount is installed where that big cup holder was and a single cable is neatly routed to the back of the radio, providing audio and power connections to the cradle so I just have to drop the phone in and go. So just to be clear, I am only curious about the following 2 questions:

- Does the 02-06 MINI ipod OEM adapter lock you out of your ipod app in the new iPhone 4S?

- Does Siri voice control work, specifically to play a specific song, if your 02-06 MINI ipod OEM adapter is connected.
