Bluetooth questions..
Hello guys...
I just wanted to ask the following questions:
1. When calling does your partner hear himslef at the beginning of the conversation (mine does so for about 2-5sec)?
2. In the last received call list, there is an entry next to the name on the CCC, that appears to be the date, but in my car/mobile combination I only see a "01.01.70" entry on all numbers. Is enyone else experiencing this?

More info about the phone would be help full. like make an model. Not all phones work exactly the same over bluetooth.
Also both of you problems may very well be that you are using a FISCON unit for bluetooth and as it is not OEM it may not work 100% perfectly either as the OEM does not as well.

Yes... I was asking to compare to how the original unit functions. My phone is a NOKIA 6500 Classic. But the repeating voice is phone independed as I have tested it with other phones and I know that Renault factory system's also do it in the exact same manner.
From the info I have gathered, it appears it is Parrott's method of removing the caller's voice, as it is inevitably picked up from the speakers. Since these systems are universal, the parameters to identify and separate the sound from the speakers and your own voice are gathered in the first few seconds of the conversation. Then the filtering is applied and the voice is cleared.
The OEM system should function in a similar manner, as the mic will pick up the voice from the speakers. But it's possible that the values are predefined and so no adaptation happens as you speak...

Part of the reason I asked about the phone is that the OEM system in my car will do what you describe with a hand full or less of phones but the majority do not do that and it seems the few phones it does that with have the same problem with many cars OEM or aftermarket systems. But i will say that i have never had a issue with a Nokia phone. They are one of the better phones out there for bluetooth compatibility.
I would say that the problem is with the FISCON unit most likely. No one has really been able to make a aftermarket unit that will integrate the same way as the OEM Unit will.

Good to know then... But apart from this, which could eventually be just the operating principle of the system, the Fiscon does integrate very well to the car. It's connected to the MOST bus, shows up on the CCC and even in INPA reports itself as the MULF.
It does also play music over Bluetooth (A2DP), but it lacks the USB port of the original.
Another question: Can you read your SMS on the CCC display? I have enabled the SMS function in NCSExpert and the menu does show up on the CCC, but the SMS are not synchronised.

As the FISCON is a replica not an OE item it may work very well but lacks the EXACT same programing as the OE so there is no real way to tell exactly what may be the problem.
As for the SMS that is not part of the OE as well on the MINI without MINI Connected so it may never work properly. it is one of those features that maybe adjustable with NCSExpert along with many others adjustments that will only work on higher level BMW's.
