Front and Rear Speaker Preferences?
Here's the deal,
My rear 6x9 Infiniti Kappa Ref. bit the dust after a couple years of going strong. I have decided on upgrading all four corners since I'll already be in there. Makes sense right?
Infiniti Kappa Perfect's up front. All amped to a 4 channel with a 10 in on it's own independent mono block. I have been reading a lot about 6x9 woofers? Is this a worth while investment. I don't have back seats just a rear seat delete so I get the crisp sound of the 6x9's rattling off in my ears when my seat is a little further back. I'm wondering if it's worth it to purchase crisper components up front and go with 6x9 woofers along with the 10in sub I already have. Don't get me wrong 250wts. of 10 in power is adequate for my listening since I'm no bass addict. Would I have to dynamat the whole rear since those 6x9's will be running under those panels? Only makes sense..also if so should the headliner come down and be matted as well? I don't have a sunroof so not much worry about things rattling off I'm just curious.
What brands of 6x9's/6x9 woofers/6.5 components do you favor?

I don't have a MINI (used to have a Mini though) and this is my first post, but I don't like the Kappa Perfects. I have had the 6.1 component set in my truck for over 5 years and the tweeters have never worked for me. I've kept them because they are "good enough" but I would never go with an aluminum tweeter again. Any component systems I look at in the future will have silk dome tweeters instead.
Take that for what it is worth as the same speakers will sound different to different people in different vehicles.
Edited to add: by "never worked for me" I mean I don't like the sound. They are way too harsh even before turning up the volume. Cymbal crashes actually hurt my ears. They worked as designed, I just don't like that design.

I have focal components in my front doors and love them. I'm currently running an Alpine Type S 12" sub in a sealed box in the back and an Alpine PDX 5 channel amp. I am looking to mount 6.5" coaxials in the 6x9 hole with adapter and keep them dialed back a bit. The only thing that has stopped me is needing to take all the side panels back apart in my car. I have quite a bit of sound dampening in my car (not headliner though) and it has helped alot.
In the front, I have polks 6.5" woofers, since they came with an adapter and did not require any cutting to install, and 1" mb quart tweeters that fit perfectly in the stock tweeter housing.
In the back, I have infinity 6x9s that I installed w/ baffles, that I believe made a difference in overall sound quality and reduced some vibration in the panels. I also have a jl stealthbox w/ a 10" solobaric.
All this is powered by an alpine pdx-5. I really like my setup, but I think 6x9s in the rear are overkill since I already have a sub. If the 6x9s were to ever go out on me, I'd just replace them with 6.5" components.
