My Rear seat delete, spare tire, amp rack subwoofer solution
I posted this once in interior/ exterior section and it should probably be here instead. I haven't finished the system yet but I welded a frame and made a hinged compartment for the amps. The tire is held down with a strap that mounts to the factory seat belt and seat mounts for safety. I didn't want to go crazy on the bass I like it natural acoustic sounding so I did an over sized 11" shallow sub in a sealed enclosure. There is a Reference series Kenwood four channel amp, bi amped to the front separates and a mono for the sub. The rear speakers are 7" two ways that are run on deck power for rear fill. The head unit is a KIV-BT901 which is a iPhone centric receiver that also does Pandora. The system sounds great. I also used Hush mat on the floor and door panels. I'm going to finish it in carpet to keep the cargo area as usable as possible. I'll post some more pictures of the entire system when I get it done.
Are you guys a local shop in Az? If so can you build a box to jam a 10in into as well as possibly a two amp rack? I have a 4 channel and a mono block along with a stupid wedged box that I have bungeed to my trunk.
