Any help appreciated

LOL just saw how bad I butchered the title. "appreciated"

So the GF has an 06 r53 with a HK stereo in it. The previous owner's kid put coins in the headunit so the CD doesn't work; so now for her birthday, I purchased a new pioneer headunit with internal bluetooth, Sosche adapter harness and sosche radio surround. I was coming here to look for a DIY on it, but now I am reading about tons of issues with the HK amp. Can someone please clarify a bit on this, will I need to run my own wires from the head unit to the speaker and bypass the amp? What other options do I have?

Also for the bluetooth do I need to run any additional wires? Sorry for the questions, I don't know crap about the mini yet, but I will still be researching as well as checking this thread.

Thank you in advance for any help!

Just based on what I could find seems like the best thing to do would be to pull out the whole system/sell the HK HU speakers and amp, and just run all new wires/speakers and HU. Would this be my best bet? I can do all that myself if so.

As long as you already have the adapters and other parts, why not install it with the existing H/K amp and speakers? Then when it fails consider more drastic mods.
