I'm looking to uprdade my radio, but didn't want to get a fold-out radio. I saw these single din radios with an extension to accomodate a larger touchscreen. I'm looking at 5" screens, but don't know if the extension would interfere with the climate controls. Has anybody seen tried one of these?

It looks like it will be close. The ***** on the A/C stick out and that screen looks pretty thick. It will at least cover up some of the *****.

Hmm, I wonder if it has a tilt function, if it did, that probably solve the A/C button problem.

 

You can get a spacer trim ring from a local audio shop that would probably give you the clearance you need.

 

They make an adapter for a double din that relocates all the previous controls lower. I've talked to my audio guy about this several times.

I'm still debating on whether or not I want to transfer my radio components from my eclipse to the mini.
