Minimal configuration to get handsfree BT working with Parrot and MFSW?
OK,
So I think that I have read hundreds of threads by now on this topic and while the information has been informative I am left with a few questions as to:
How to make it work?
Are the volume issues posted in 2008 still relevant?
What parts do I need?
So here goes. I have a very stock R50 with MFSW and aux in jack. I am using an iphone 4.
Because of exchange rates (Trying to save $$) I am trying to make sure that I can get the features I want with the parrot ck3000 that is on newministuff.
I don't mind keeping the ipod features on the aux in conection that I have but it would be nice if the MFSW controls allowed me to change tracks in addition to the volume controls that already work.
As far as BT calling it appears that the wiring harness from newministuff does allow me to use the MFSW to answer and hang up calls. So that works ok for me.
The big question is will this setup allow me to use some form of button sequence on the MFSW to turn on the iphones built in voice control so I can dial by voice lookup or give it a ipod command to play a certain song?
Have any of you had success with the ck3000 and an iphone in doing this?
If not, what model parrot do I have to move up to? I really have no interest or need in a display screen or adressbook sync. I can see the caller from my phone screen and I find it easier to keep my contacts in one place.
Any thoughts?
THanks,
Jeff
