How to Drain the H/K systems memory

Any one know what is the best way to drain the H/K system so that it prompts for the code? Will unplugging the head unit and unplugging the amp for a week or two or three do it? I had a bad Siruis Radio module that was killing the main battery as the module never shut off, and I think it messed up my MINI iPod kit, as it now pauses the iPod as soon as you plug the iPod in. I have tried every reset on the iPod, and the MINI iPod kit,but nothing works. Any suggestions?

Really, no one knows? No one has done it by mistake?

AFAIK, the HU looks for the CAN bus signal. If it sees that, no code.
Disconnect the battery cable and step on the brakes for 30 seconds - that should drain all charge from the car. Maybe pull the fuse in the back of the radio?
Maybe find another MINI to hook it up to and see if it exhibits the same behavior?
