I have a 2009 MCS, I bought it in Germany but through the Base US Auto sales. It was built to US Specs, yet the US (bought from the MINI Dealer here in NC) Navigation DVD will not work in my car. The tech at the Mini Dealership is baffled. I wonder if because I was using the US version of Europe Nav DVD if there is something that must be reset to all the Nav to read the US DVD now. They have ordered me a new Navigation DVD unit for the car to see if that works. As when the US DVD is put in the DVD slot all I get is the Insert DVD message. Anyone else have this issue?

 

IF the Europe NAV DVD works in the DVD Drive then the drive is okay. If the US NAV DVD does not work and if when put in the DVD drive the display says "Insert DVD" then 99% chance the US NAV DVD is no good.
