R56 Audio Upgrade

I am using an IPOD classic for most of my music thru the factory cable from the dealer. Came with the car but works on IPOD classic and our I-phone as well.

Does not seem to charge either unit though. I prefer a "wired" connection as it sounds much better with the amplified system we have. Bluetooth works but more sound degradation but I am more fussy. I don't compress my music either and still prefer CD sound over the IPOD/I-phone.

All other functionality still works, phone calls are fine over Bluetooth or wired. One hitch, call volume can be loud. I have to turn phone volume down all the way as all signals are amplified.

The in car voice is quite loud and cannot be turned down so we do not use that if at all. But smart phone covers most of those features anyway.

Hope that answers your ???
