Someone Replaced my H/K Amp
Hi All, recently bought an 04 Cooper S and have come to discover that at some point the H/K Amp was replaced with a 4 channel unit from Alpine. I am suffering from awful sound quality. The Amp is only sending out the Left Front Channel at equal volumes to all speakers. I have tried to understand the wiring as best as I could, but am hoping someone has a wiring diagram of what was going into and out of the H/K Amp so I can try and fix the problem.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Are you sure you don't have an amp that was added to a standard stereo? An H/K system isn't easy to modify because most of its components are incompatible with standard aftermarket components. Do your speaker grill covers have "Harman/Kardon" stamped on them?
Yep, speakers have Harmon Kardon on the covers. I have not gone as far as removing the amp to find the model number, but it is alpine, 4 channel, and very small, about 4" square and maybe an inch thick.

It may be 4 Ohm per channel while the speakers are 2. You need to pull the speakers and see if they are actually HK. If they are, you have a few choices to fix this if they didn't butcher the harness too badly.
A likely scenario is that the original HK amp failed (a fairly common occurrence), and the previous owner attempted to replace it with a standard amp. It would work poorly unless speakers were changed as well.
