05' OEM Head Unit Volume **** Issues

In the past several months I have noticed that my volume **** is getting generally stuck when I try to turn down the music. It takes a few turns for it to eventually turn down the volume.

Any ideas?

Thx

Do you have a MFSW? If so, does the volume get 'stuck' with that as well? I'd guess a mechanical fault with the HU, the electronics are not 'seeing' the volume **** turn.
Easiest/cheapest solution would probably be to buy a used head unit. Labor charges even to look at it would probably cost more.

Yes I do and no it works turning it down w/ the steering wheel controls. Seen any used units for sale?

Used units for sale on ebay all the time. $70-120 is the usual range depending on build date (your model plays MP3s, the earlier ones do not.) Note: If you want to use the Aux-in feature, make sure the unit was built in 2003 (the early 2002 units did not support Aux-in)
