Navigation & Audio Another Bluetooth Question
Another Bluetooth Question
I have had my 2007 Mini Cooper for two weeks now. Must say I am addicted to it and NAM...
My question is can I manually put the phone numbers into my bluetooth since it wont read my sim card? If so how???
Thanks, New kid on the block...

Welcome! Sorry, I try to catch all the Bluetooth posts right away, but I missed yours until now.
Which phone do you have? Does your car have the factory installed Nav system, or do you have the standard radio?

With the standard radio you should be able to input numbers manually and record voice tags to use for voice dialing. I don't think it will allow you to dial them by selecting them through the radio interface if they're entered this way.
Schatzy62 put together some good info on recording manual voice tags in this thread.
Some phones can't transfer the address book from the SIM card, but can transfer them from the phone's memory- if you can switch between the two, that may helpp. Others won't transfer the address book until there are some call records in the the phone. It's also been reported that some phones take a few hours to transfer the address book the first time. There are also phones that are just not compatible the address book sync.
There's been a couple other people to report on Pantech phones, but it doesn't look like either used them with the address book, so we don't have any history on how well they work.
