I has a question!

Ok so I am planning on either putting 1 18'' Fi Comp sub or 2 15'' Treo Comp subs in my car. Yess that is the easy part, but I wanted to know if their is any way for a aftermarket deck or do i have to keep my orignal deck? Or can i change it out and if i do change it out where do i put it then? Secret compartment? Because I know that secret compartment is tooo valuable

I wouldn't mess with the head unit. As far as the sub, there are about 10 million treads on the s.u.b.ject!

You don't need a new deck. Depending on if you have the hifi option or not you will need to tap into the speaker level signals. If you have hifi you can grab the signal at the amp in the back. If you have the standard system then you will want to grab the signal from the front speakers in the drivers side kick panel. From there you just need an amp that takes speaker level inputs or a line level converter.

An 18 or 2 15's is crazy in my opinion. A single 12 is more than sufficient. Most people use a single 10. Urbanmini has a nice box that fits in the back and takes a single 10.

You don't have to get a different head unit. Some have gotten a new head unit and relocated the stock unit to the secret compartment, and some have put the after market head unit in the secret compartment, leaving the oem head unit where it is. I have done this route and love the results of sound.

I think it would be hard to do a single 18 or 2 15's in a Mini and put in the correct enclosure. If you don't have the airspace in you enclosure then the sub is not going to sound like it should . You would get output out of a single 12" done with the correct airspace .

Now if you remove the back seat then you should have the airspace. Given the size of the bass soundwave it would never reach its maximum potential inside the car though

When I was in the car audio business I saw this all the time poeple putting big subs in for the wow factor and they sounded like

If you want nasty deep bass put a 10 or 12" w7 in the Mini.

Im glad im not your neighbor
