Absolutely! This is a very dangerous and highly contagious condition. You should bring the car over to my house immediately and leave it for 6 months...

Mine says the same thing. Thats probably what happened in the translation between German and the Queen's English!

I was going to order the Sat Nav for my MINI. I was going to wait until MINI changed the system to a DVD based system. I was told by my dealer that MINI's ordered by December would have a DVD based Sat Nav. I have also read somewhere in this forum that MINI has stated that the Nav system will not be DVD based until some undetermined time next year. Does anyone have any information on this?

I was one of the one's that wrote in. And, yes, BOTH dates have been mentioned. My DEALER said that cars ordered from this point on would come with DVD; MINI.COM replied in an email that the DVD/Nav upgrade would be available "later next year".

So, we'll have to wait at least a month (then if they ARE going to start arriving in December, we should know).

On a lighter note, one of the folks on MINI2.com said that UK MINI has sent out a bulletin that they were taking orders for "UK HK" systems NOW!!! Of course, that could mean that we'll get the HK in the USA in a month, or a year.

But, in the fine tradition of passing on rumors....

You can get the Harmon Karmon audio system right now in the US. I was also told that DVD-based nav is not due til next spring

I'm thinking if not getting the NAV system at all now if the PDA option will be offered in the US. Anyone have any ideas on that? It doesn't look as nice but seems more functional and I get the funny speedo.
