Need help with removing speaker grill on door panel

Does anyone have any tips on removing the speaker grill? I tried
prying it off with a molding removal tool as shown an a pic that
someone else had posted but I can't seem to get it to budge. I think
I have already broken off the tabs holding it in place but it
still won't come off. Thanks.

There isn't a pin on the speaker surround, that's on the door opener above

Try using your tool on the part behind the door handle bar, you will see where it joins and you can push your tool in there and it will just pop off.
It makes a loud noise and it sounds like you have broken the clips but you won't have done they are just strong clips that make a loud noise when they let go

You can try squeezing the cup a bit to loosen it. Be sure and get underneath the lip when you are prying. You can work your way around it too.

Good luck!

(that's my picture, btw)

Thanks Jgohlke. Sorry about borrowing your picture without permssion. I saved it to my computer and couldn't find the original thread where it came from. I finally did manage to get it off but broke off a tab in the process. Was a lot more difficult than it
looked.

Sorry to hear you broke a tab on the speaker cup. That's a bummer. No worries about the picture, hope it helped a bit.
